Album Review:: Jay-Z - "American Gangster"
Jay-Z accomplishes what most of his contemporaries are unable to, create a captivating and entertaining listening experience, which purveys depth and substance via witty and clever wordplay (schememag)
Whenever a legend puts out a new record, his reputation is on the line. When several of your previous nine albums are leagues ahead of other artists’ “Greatest Hits” collections, it’s tough to recreate that magic. Unfortunately, Jay-Z shows signs of falling off in this tenth installment. (CornellSun)

In the race to become indie rock’s funniest band, Brooklyn’s Les Savy Fav has pretty much lapped the competition by now. First there was the Randall’s Island spoof. Then the failed AOL HR interview. Now Tim Harrington has teamed with the folks at VH1 Best Week Ever and Nothing But Nets – a Malaria awareness campaign (no, really!) – to produce the most hilarious clip yet. Here, Harrington is dressed in a ridiculous mosquito costume, buzzing around Manhattan, harassing tourists and office workers. The moral of the story: they might just be a nuisance in America, but plenty of mosquitoes much more threatening than Harrington are roaming around Africa. Learn:
