Matt Jaffe and the Distractions is a young rock trio based in San Francisco, CA. The group formed after Talking Heads guitarist Jerry Harrison discovered Matt performing alone at an open mic and was immediately compelled to produce the boy's music. In an effort to bring their studio creations to live audiences, Matt called on the teenage rhythm section force that is Alex Coltharp and Sammie Fischer. The band’s first video features the song Backs of Our Eyelids, which recently moved into the finalist round in the Teen section of the 2013 International Songwriting Competition. The video was shot in the Marin headlands, minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. Backs of our Eyelids is the first of several singles the band will releasing online this year. The boys will be celebrating the release with their first show at Slim’s in San Francisco on March 30th. Not a bad graduation party for a group of high-school seniors.

(March 26, 2013, New York NY) - Few artists can say they've performed along side both Redman and Skrillex, Sean Price and Steve Aoki, but Ain't No Love would prove the exception. Flowing between driving hip hop beats with touches of electronic the break out group from Montreal by way of Toronto are making waves in music and their latest video, "Gone Already" has caught the attention of MTVU. "Gone Already", the second single off their brand new EP Tears of Joy caught the programmers' attention for its startling special effects but it was the music that kept their attention and garnered the breakthrough Canadian hip hop quartet a feature on this week's MTVU's The Freshmen program where they'll be up against four other artists. The Freshmen gives audiences the chance to vote for which video they would like to see on rotation on MTVU with voting beginning on Monday, March 25 and running through Friday, March 29 at 2pm. Fans can head over to www.mtvu.com/music/the-freshmen and vote early and often for Ain't No Love. The "Gone Already" video was premiered on Earmilk, was directed by Switzerland's Samuel Fluckiger and produced by Mike MacMillan of Lithium Studios.
Between releasing the Tears of Joy EP on February 15th, playing several stages at SXSW including VEVO's TV Control Room and an upcoming performance at The Great Escape, the buzz for Ain't No Love has been steadily building and many such as Earmilk, Salacious Sound, Hero Hill, VEVO and tastemakers such as CNN's Arjan Timmermans who writes " Ain't No Love are noteworthy new talents who crank out an unapologetic blend of hip-hop and dubstep." have taken notice. Next month the group will head back to their hometown of Toronto to shoot the video for their next single, "Fake Your Dreams." We're counting on it to be just as much of a banger with a little throwback hip hop flavor.

New Band "Young The Giant" Gets The Nod Of Approval From Morrissey
Morrissey on Young The Giant
YOUNG THE GIANT
Having suffered with relish so much yes-but-no new music, I could break down with happiness at the new - debut - CD by Young The Giant. I will be kneeling with gratitude on a hardwood floor for many years to come. It is the whole thing ... it is the perfect tone ... and Sameer's voice is unbreakable.
If there is any justice in the world (and we all know there isn't) Young The Giant will own most of it by August. It's so easy to fire out remnants of snobbery where new music is concerned (in fact, I find it VERY easy), but once every three thousand years, a band comes along who restore that precious component of faith. Had I the gift of adequate words I would express more than mere thanks.
Instead, I shall leave it at that.

That's a pretty amazing endorsement from a man that most of us view as a God.

New Video: Rihanna- Man Down
Always been a big fan of Rihanna, she has great style and always great music to dance to while drunk at a club. Check out her latest video which apparently has pissed off the Parents Television Council who think the video is to violent for tv. I just find that funny, the Parents Television Council really just a big joke.
