Kevin Shields video interview with Soft Focus on My Bloody Valentine

Check out the Kevin Shields interview on Soft Focus. Now you and your audience can hear the words about the reunion and the follow up MBV album straight from the horse's mouth. He discusses it all in part 1. But there are four parts to this extensive and in depth interview all week on VBS. So make sure you check 'em all out. It's an extroverted side and open conversation that I've never quite seen from the normally introverted Shields.

Follow the rest of interview this week here: http://www.vbs.tv/softfocus/kevin_shields.php

Also check out Season 1 of Soft Focus - taped at the Guggenheim Museum in New York with guests like Cat Power's Chan Marshall, Henry Rollins, Ian Mackaye, Genesis P. Orridge and Will Oldham - is currently available on-line. Check it out here: http://www.vbs.tv/softfocus

My Bloody Valentine: Officially Reuniting

From the Daily Swarm

"Kevin Shields, the mercurial and elusive leader of My Bloody Valentine, confirmed that the legendary band has reunited in the studio for the first time since 1995, recorded new material, and that an album release is forthcoming, possibly as soon as this year. In an exclusive interview set to air Monday, Nov. 12 on VBS.tv, Shields speaks at length with Ian Svenonious on Soft Focus about his career and art, including some tantalizing hints about the next phase of My Bloody Valentine."
