Stream The Teenagers Debut Album "Reality Check"
You can now stream The Teenagers debut album "Reality Check" on Myspace.
After listening to it once, it seems pretty mediocre. Their strongest songs seem to be the ones that have been around for the last year like "Homecoming" & "Starlett Johannson." I feel like these guys are on to something, and I hope the album will grow on me.

Múm Tours In Support of New Album
It has been more than three years since the release of múm's last album Summer Make Good, and a lot of water has passed under the bridge. And now, finally, múm return with their long-awaited new album, strangely titled Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy and a string of fall tour dates supporting the release - including two Wordless Music Series performances in New York City. This latest effort is a colorful, twitching, playful work of art, full of life-affirming energy.
In the three years since the last full-length offering, múm has not slept more than thought to be normal. After Summer Make Good, they toured extensively in Europe, the US and Asia and in 2005 they were invited to Amsterdam by the Holland Festival to collaborate with the National Dutch Chamber Orchestra to create a performance piece based around various compositions of the late avant-garde composer Iannis Xenakis for one of the centre piece shows at the festival. Shortly after that the lines were starting to form around the new album.
With the departure of Kristín Valty´sdóttir at the beginning of the creative process, the core of múm is again down to the original duo of founding members Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar óreyjarson Smárason, but the band itself is now larger than ever, counting in all seven people. The album was recorded at a variety of locations, including the music school in the small fishing town of Ísafjörur in the west fjords of Iceland, where the band made use of the school's various instruments. The songs on this multifarious album were conceived over a long period in many a different fashion, with one song even dating back to the period of Yesterday Was Dramatic, Today Is OK.
"Mum quietly, irresistibly, inhabit a no-band's land between the ancient and imminent, the organic and electronic, the head and feet." - Rolling Stone
