The Apples In Stereo Launch The Super Hi-Fi ReMix Contest

(New York, NY): The Apples in stereo are excited to announce the launch of The Super Hi-Fi Remix Contest. The contest, conceived by Yep Roc Records and hosted by the social networking platform Imeem, is co-sponsored by MacBeth Footwear and Acid Pro 6.0 from Sony Creative Software. The contest starts today, September 11, and runs through October 19.
The Super Hi-Fi Re-Mix Contest continues in the boundary-pushing technological footsteps of their latest album New Magnetic Wonder, the first CD to ever include the components of the newly developed “Non-Pythagorean Musical scale” developed by lead Apple and amateur mathematician Robert Schneider.
The contest allows fans to legally download the very same music channels for the song “Can You Feel It?” with the same high quality .wav file format that the producers and mixers had for the album. The 21 tracks for download include many elements that are usually coupled together. By allowing re-mixers to download every individual instrument track for the Remix Contest, The Apples are providing the flexibility and opportunity for their fans to truly let their imaginations run wild.
The winning re-mixer, judged by The Apples in stereo, will not only receive prize packages from MacBeth Footwear and Sony Creative Software but will also have their remix included on the digital version of the band’s Electronic Projects for Musicians, the upcoming b-sides and outtakes collection due out on Yep Roc early next year.
Fans and re-mixing enthusiastic alike can download the tracks and upload their final products here - http://www.theapplesinstereo.imeem.com/
The Super Hi-Fi Remix Contest follows on the heels of the recently released new video for “Same Old Drag.” http://theapplesinstereo.imeem.com/video/rP7aQYJz/same_old_drag/
The Apples in stereo are also happy to announce that Barsuk Records recording artist Aqueduct will be joining them on their upcoming tour. Previously, Aqueduct has graced the opening stages of Modest Mouse and The Flaming Lips.
