Band Of Horses Album Reviews

Band Of Horses "Cease to Begin" Album Reviews
"There are few things to enjoy on the band's latest album, as Band of Horses cranks up the volume and fills out some of the airy spaces from its debut with fuller instrumentation. But in the switch from low to high fidelity, Band of Horses sacrifices a good deal of angst and quality in the band's quest to prove it is no band of one-trick ponies. Lazy listeners may accuse Band of Horses of treading through too similar ground, but pay close attention and the subtleties between the two albums come out of the woodwork. Where Everything was raw and desperate, Cease to Begin feels bland and nonchalant." Review 1
"Band of Horses offers something refreshingly unlike boilerplate indie rock." Review 2
"It's a complex album, not immediately digestible. It sounds sad but leaves one feeling happy. It's covered in the pangs of loneliness but casts a lantern on our interconnectedness." Review 3
" "Cease to Begin” shows Band of Horses refining its gauzy sound and proving it can co-exist with its Kentucky cousins." Review 4
"Even though it's 90 degrees out there still, Begin is the sound of autumn, of leaves crunching under your feet, of cozy sweaters, of chilly sunshine and the burnt-oranges, yellows and browns of fall." Review 5
Is Third Eye Blind getting back together?
"Elmira College announced Monday that Third Eye Blind will play a concert at 8 p.m. Nov. 14 in Speidel Gymnasium on the college campus. "(link) Good to see they are back to playing some shows and hopefully a new album is in the works
