The Maine signs to Fearless Records
The Maine joins the Fearless Family and will release The Way We Talk, on December 11, 2007.
Heading straight for your ears are the new kids on the block; The Maine. Springing to life in January of 2007, this five piece ensemble includes vocalist John O'Callaghan, guitarist Kennedy Brock, bassist Garrett Nickelsen, guitarist Jared Momaco and drummer Pat Kirch. The Maine was determined to do something different and stand out as originals. The band did not want to follow the screamo trend occurring in Arizona but wanted to play something new. They began drawing inspiration from 90s radio rock bands who happen to be their strongest influences and mixing it with their own original style and writing.

Guilty Pleasure - New Single from “American Idol’s” Blake Lewis!
Who:
Blake Lewis is the popular runner-up on the sixth season of “American Idol.” Born in Redmond, Washington, Lewis started singing at age five and competed in statewide talent contests while in high school. He became a beat-boxer at 17, inspired by the then Seattle-based a cappella group M-Pact. Lewis was a member of the Pacific Northwest a cappella group Kickshaw for four years. He also recorded several music videos and wrote a number of original songs.
After “American Idol,” Lewis signed to 19 Recordings / ARISTA Records and started working on his debut album with a stellar line-up of producers and songwriters. Among the producers were Jonathan “JR” Rotem, who has worked with Rihanna (on her No. 1 single “SOS”) and Sean Kingston; Ryan “Alias” Tedder, who has worked with Timbaland; and S*A*M & Sluggo, who have worked with two of the year’s biggest new artists, Gym Class Heroes and Boys Like Girls.
Lewis’ debut album, Audio Day Dream (A.D.D), will be released on December 4, 2007.

Bobaflex take the red pill and go "Home"
Bobaflex has just released the music video for their first single “Home” off their new album Tales from Dirt Town. Bobaflex teamed up with director Dan Dobi to film the video at the infamous Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. The band was caught on film before and during their sold-out concert on October 12th at the notorious venue and the video puts a lucid visual to their emotional song. Bobaflex’s multifaceted album, Tales from Dirt Town, is available in stores now.

M83 / Eyeka video contest : winner announced !
"Aurélien Chartendrault (aka Charta) is the winner of the M83 video contest organised with Eyeka.
It was a hard choice for Anthony Gonzalez to make; lots of the videos submitted were amazingly creative, some totally abstract ! Aurélien wins a video iPod and the complete M83 discography.
He dug his inspiration in some Classic American movies which he edited (non copyrighted!) parts together for his video. "I really like those naive films, it's the perfect representation of "the American dream". I had the same thrill looking at them than listening to M83's music". Aged 24 and living in France, Aurélien heard about the competition by attending the M83 "Digital Shades Vol.1" listening party that was set pre release. "

I personally liked the runner up's video better
