The Raveonettes Sign to Vice Records

Vice Music is ecstatic to announce their newest signing, The Raveonettes. With three critically acclaimed releases under their belt and over 170,000 records sold in the US, the Danish rock duo will release Lust Lust Lust in early 2008, with a US tour to follow.

The Raveonettes' Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo met in Copenhagen in 2001 and recorded their first EP, Whip it On. Soon after, Rolling Stone's David Fricke discovered them at Denmark's SPOT festival and his high praise gained the attention of major labels and magazines. Chain Gang of Love, the band's first full-length record, was released in 2003 and the follow up, Pretty in Black, in 2005.

The Raveonettes are recognized and praised for their signature blend of two part harmonies, lo-fi garage sound and 60s noir aesthetic. Comparisons have been drawn to everyone from the Jesus and Mary Chain, the Velvet Underground and Suicide to Buddy Holly, the Shangri-Las and Ronnie Spektor. In 2003, the Raveonettes' won a Danish Music Award when Whip It On was named "Best Album of the Year".

Emily begins her tour this week with the record release party at Amnesia in San Francisco, heading up and down the California coast to play a series of shows in smaller towns for the most part.

2 Free Jason Collett MP3's & New Album

Arts & Crafts is set to release the third collection of new songs by Jason Collett. The new album, titled Here's To Being Here, will be released throughout North America on February 5, 2008.

Here's To Being Here captures the essence of Jason's live performances and features the energy and musicianship of his touring band, Paso Mino. "This is very much a guitar record, in the sense of it being very tasteful…that's the greatest accomplishment of this record" says Collett, "recording in
bigger spaces and live off the floor was the ideal I wanted to shoot for with this record. Recording this way allowed for spontaneous creations, which led to many wonderful little accidents."

Here's To Being Here was recorded and produced in Collett's hometown of Toronto, ON, by musician/producer Howie Beck. The album also features guest performances by fellow Broken Social Scene member and Apostle of Hustle front man Andrew Whiteman, as well as Tony Scherr (Norah Jones, John Scofield), Liam O'Neil (The Stills) to name a few.

Neko Case Catalog Re-Issues

On November 6th, Anti- will re-release a couple of Neko's earlier albums, 2000's Furnace Room Lullaby and 2002's Blacklisted, along with a bonus version of her latest CD, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. The "bonus" version of Fox will include a separate disc of 5 songs - 2 from Furnace Room Lullaby, 2 from Blacklisted, and 1 demo of "Behind the House", a song only previously released on the Live From Austin City Limits CD.
