Longwave "The Strangest Things" One Of My Favorite Albums Of All Time

"The Strangest Things" is one of the best albums ever in my opinion. It is that album that never seems to make it off what ever playlist I am listening to. The album had elements of shoegaze, post punk, great background noise, distortion and lyrics that haunted me.

The Big Sleep Prepare To Sleep Forever in February

Frenchkiss noise-mongers The Big Sleep are set to return with another slab of gargantuan post-rock on February 19^th. The Brooklyn-based trio’s sophomore full length, Sleep Forever, is a proud continuation of the psychedelic meta-rock championed on 2006’s punisher, Son of the Tiger – an album whose bewitching songs drew comparisons to artists as disparate as Led Zeppelin, Sonic Youth, and My Bloody Valentine. Elements of all three juggernauts can be heard on Sleep Forever’s lead single, “Pinkies,” a soaring number that gets by on Danny Barria’s thick, snarling guitars and the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Sonya Balchandani and wildman drummer Gabe Rhodes.
